What the chances that my unborn child will survive when the fetal rate is 50 at 6 weeks...

Good. : The heart rate starts slow before getting faster. A repeat ultrasound at least a week after the first could confirm a normal heart rate.

Low.: 50 beats per minute is a very low heart rate for 6 weeks - provided your dates are accurately reported. This has a relatively worse prognosis for fetal survival, so please follow it up with weekly sonograms at your doctor's office to reassure yourself. Take Folic Acid 1-5 mg daily and keep your spirits high - chances are still on your side.
