Other causes: It is not uncommon to have pain from ovarian cysts particularly when they rupture. Most of the time pelvic ultrasound is used for this diagnosis.Bilateral ovarian cysts is quite common and if cyst from right ovary already ruptured may not be apparent on scan. Other causes of right lower quadrant pain of course include appendicitis. I assume that was ruled out.Sometimes bowel abnormalities painful.
