Knee pain: The mcmurray's test should be performed to test for a meniscal tear; this involved hyperflexing the knee and gently internally and externally rotating the knee; this may elicit a click and/or pain from the patient. Understand, too, that a positive mcmurray can be in the setting of a normal meniscus if there is inflamed synovium and/or articular cartilage wear.

McMurray: Pain along joint line with an increase or click with mcmurray (twisting) maneuver. Indicates possible meniscal tear.
