A member asked:

My grandma is almost 4 yrs bedridden since she suffered her 3rd stroke. would a physical therapy still help her move / walk again?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes for many reasons: Physical therapy is an important factor in recovery from a stroke. The brain has an amazing ability to change its "brain maps" to allow for some form of recovery. Unfortunately, i can not answer the question whether she would walk again as I do not know enough about her past history to comment with any degree of certainty.
