A member asked:

Can spheroid sinusitis interfere with your optic nerves?

Yes: Sinusitis is inflammation more commonly caused by infection of the sinuses of the skull, one of which is the sphenoid. It's location is very close to where the optic nerves cross each other known as the optic chiasm. One of the rare complications of this sinusitis is spread of the infection to its surrounding area. If you are having visual changes, check with your doc right away.
