Not many: A trigger thumb is a result of tendonitis of the flexor tendon to thumb. Whenever something is inflamed it swells. This is the problem with the trigger thumb. The tendon is getting trapped. Doing more exercise can actually make it worse. Try some oral antiinflammatories and resting it to try and get the swelling down of the tendon. Splinting & steroid injections may help, usually surgery is needed.
