Sometimes.: There are many forms of arthritis, and most are seen on X-Ray after you have the symptoms for a while. Early on, the arthritis may cause symptoms in a joint without any X-Ray findings, and a negative X-Ray does not exclude many types of arthritis. If your symptoms persist, even with a negative X-Ray, see your Doctor for further evaluation.
