A member asked:

Is it possible to have arthritis in just your knee? would blood tests show it? from time to time my knee really hurts when going up stairs.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Any joint possible: Arthritis can affect any joint. If one sided, it is typically osteoarthritis which results mostly from "wear and tear." a blood test would not necessarily show this particular arthritis but an x-ray might depending on severity. You may want to try anti-inflammatories such as advil or aleve (naproxen) but on a full stomach. Your doctor may be able to offer more options.
