Remember: Two things--hydrate shortly before planned blood draws (w/water if fasting), and keep a mental note of the spot(-s) where techs / rn able to get blood easier for future reference.

See below.: Let them know you are a hard stick. Try using a butterfly. Drink plenty of fluids before having blood drawn. Have blood drawn from "nonstandard" locations. Often, techs repeatedly and blindly stab the popliteal fossa while overlooking numerous and obvious veins in the forearm, hands, chest, etc. Sometimes they are restricted by training/ employer to draw only from certain locations.
