Both partners: Should have their chlamydia treated, and avoid sex with each other or anyone else for at least 2 to 3 weeks after treatment. Please consult your respective doctors. Speak to them about protection and birth control options. Good luck.

It is an STD: Well, chlamydia is transmitted sexually and so it will be passed back/forth until both are successfully treated--at the same time. So if it is only between the two and both are being treated simultaneously, preferably for the same duration. If having severe pain/symptoms, i recommend waiting until healed. Also, should test for other stds. Consult doc. Good luck.
