Cardiology 42 years experience
Depends: You can calculate your statistical maximum heart rate by subtracting your age from 220. An acceptable heart target heart range for most people would be 70-80% of your calculated maximum. Your particular range may be different based on medications you are taking, medical issues you may have, and your overall level of conditioning.
