Is it possible for a fibroid to be mistaken for pregnancy?

Perhaps - : If a dr. Did a pelvic exam and thought the uterus was enlarged, they may have suspected or suggested a possible pregnancy - when a fibroid was making the uterus larger than normal. With any kind of imaging (ultrasound, ct scan, mri) - it would not be possible to mistake a pregnancy for a fibroid.

On exam, yes.: If the fibroid makes the uterus feel larger on exam, sure. However, if your pregnancy test is negative, then it's a pregnancy. Some imaging, such as a pelvic ultrasound can then tell us more about why your uterus feels large. Hope this helps!
