Seek dentist ASAP: An abscess does not have to hurt. Antibiotics are needed soon, could be a dental abscess from decay or periodontal abscess from gum disease, till you can get needed treatment, you can try moist heat, stay slightly elevated, keep fluid level up...........Seek care !

Immediate treatment!: All infections require immediate treatment! they can easily spread and cause serious complications including death. Get to a dentist asap! or a 24/7 emergency medical facility or hospital if no dentist available today.

Get treatment: Get the abscess treated asap. The itching concerns me. If you are on an antibiotic, you may be allergic and need to change.

Please see a dentist: Never wait on treating a swelling in the mouth. Oral swellings are close to the airway and brain. Please see a dentist asap.

Dental evaluation : Asap. Swelling is a major red flag. Get the tooth evaluated and treated or extracted. Swelling can be dangerous and allow the spread of infection to heart, brain, neck (choking), more. If you ever develop difficulty breathing, contact an emergency room asap.
