Other tests.: You're right to keep your thyroid at normal with meds from a dr. And regular check-ups if you had problems, but fever occurs for other reasons, like release of chemicals from the body if you're sick. You can be more vulnerable to infection if you've got thyroid problems, but if you're sick, you may need a blood test, and possibly culture to check for infection, so see your dr. For full check-up.

Can still get fever: As long as your thyroid levels are in the normal range, you can still get a fever with a significant infection. For many people a temperature of 96.6 is normal. Remember that 98.6 is just the average normal temperature for a population of people.
