Caffeine?: Eye twitching usually means the eyelid muscle is being irritated or stimulated. This is common when we drink too much caffeine or other energy drinks, surge of adrenaline (from vigorous exercise, ) or from stimulant-type medications (decongestants, diet pills, etc.). See your doctor if these symptoms continue.

Nerve irritation: Usually benign nerve irritation is the culprit. Rubbing it plus using a warm compress may be enough to make it go away. Also, be reassured and stay at peace and the nerve will do so as well.

Stress: You are describing myokymia - an involuntary twitching of the skin around the eyelids. It's believed to be related to lack of sleep, stress, and caffeine use. Change these risk factors and it should abate.
