Yes: Bacterial vaginosis is the most common cause of vaginitis. It is a nonsexually transmitted overgrowth of bacteria. Testing for other sexually transmitted disease may need to be done as well. Treatment is with antibiotics. A doctor visit will be needed. Many practices like mine are willing to work with those who have no insurance at discounted rates.
