My 15 year old son was diagnosed with minor case metatarsal cuneiform exostosis, it has progressively gotten more serious. what can he do to treat it?

No self-treatment: Unfortunately, there is little he can do to treat a boney deformity. Wearing shoes that don't irritate the area will help with comfort and an arch support may reduce the stress that's causing the jamming of the joint. If those don't help, see a podiatrist to be evaluate for either a custom orthotic or surgical removal.

Bone spur: Surgical intervention may be indicated if his growth plates have closed.
