Patience & meds: There are some medicines in the market requiring prescription like Aricept and namenda, exelon, galantamine (galantamine hydrobromide) that in early alzheimer's may help to improve some of the deficits but they are no miracle drugs and some times no change is noted; besides they are expensive. Most important thing is close supervision: meds, personal care, payments, orientation.... Check: alzheimers.Org.

Alzheimer’s: The person can get an exam from a neuropsychologist to find out what is happening and learn strategies to help cope. You may be given some cognitive exercises as well. A licensed nutritionist can offer support in terms of foods and supplements to support brain health. Courage and a sense of humor are great tools also. Peace and good health.
