A member asked:

I have been taking pantoprazole for nearly 2 weeks and the doctor told me i would be able to eat normally after starting this treatment. but i haven't noticed any improvement in my acid reflux symptoms, will i really be able to eat normally? when?

Can take time: If you have placed on meds that process will help your past gastro-esophageal erosions heal over time but it may take a while or require other meds. Avoiding caffeine, nicotine and acidic foods is important. Not laying down for at least an hour after a meal will help. If these don't help after another week schedule a re-visit.
