I'm nursing mother i take 1000mg calcium daily.how much is too much? what are the sideffects of excess calcium i'm 29

Let me help you: The calcium recommendation for nursing women is 1, 000 milligrams (mg) per day, the same amount recommended for pregnant women and all women between the ages of 18 and 50 (14- to 18-year-olds need 1, 300 mgs.). It's fine to get more than the recommended dietary allowance as long as your total daily intake is less than 2, 500 mg. Try to get your calcium through food instead of a vitamin supplement.
