Loose body?: U may have some arthritis in ur elbow & now have a loose body that can lock ur joint until it's wiggled free. Can also b due 2 residuals of an old injury. Once a loose bodt is prenent they continue 2 grow so you may have had a slight pop or catch that went away instantly & now it is large enough 2 get act like a door stop when u move it. See ortho 4 x-rays & eval.
