A member asked:

Does your hair grow slower when you have hiv/aids ? and if so why?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

HIV: There are many changes in the skin and cutaneous structures like hair follicles accompanying HIV disease. Hair loss is not uncommon. The cause is not fully clear. If you have HIV disease you should be seeing an id expert or other doctor in this field, so check with them. Depends a lot on your CD4 count and on the medication regimen you are receiving.
