Dilated vessels (?): It could be you are describing dilated blood vessels which might be visible and which can be associated with a headache. Perhaps more importantly, you should have your blood pressure checked during a headache to be sure it is not caused by hypertension (high blood pressure). A visit to your doctor might be appropriate.
