Pancreatic Cysts: Pancreatic pseudocysts normally occur after a bout of pancreatitis. Most of them resolve on their own after a period of about six weeks or so. For those that don't resolve on their own surgery may be required. However, it is not advisable to simply drain a pancreatic cyst or pseudocyst as recurrence rates are high and it also increases the chance of infection. You should see a hepatobiliary surgeo.
