Ent or plastics: Facial nerve damage can be managed and treated with a few differe NT options depending on what caused the damage. Since often it causes facial drooping on the affected side it can result in difficulty eating without ability to completely close that side of your mouth as well as dry eyes without the ability to close that sides eye. Weights can b sutured into eyelid and plastics can improve looks.

Ask your surgeon: There can be temporary facial weakness after tumor surgery. Ask your surgeon whether they thought the nerve was still intact at the end of your operation. If the weakness is permanent or the nerve had to be cut, then there are many things that can be done. Commonly we do surgeries to improve the closure of the eyelids, improve the smile and correct drooping of the face.
