Tendoni or neuritis: If the pain is in the soft tissue behind the bone it probably either tendonitis or potential a neuritis (tarsal tunnel syndrome). See a doctor. Testing may include mri, ultrasound or an emg/ncv . If it is on the bone it could be a stress fracture or bursitis.
