I have itchy bumps for 5 weeks ...i don't know what it is. i don't have diabetes, i've had shingles a year ago...not sure if its scabies or bug bites.

Many possibilities: These bumps could be anything including scabies, bed bugs, bug bites, fleas, etc. A picture or description of their pattern would help. I have practice in anaheim and laguna niguel. Call my office at 949-360-4400 and i would gladly help identify this condition for you. In the meantime, try otc cortisone and/or Benadryl (diphenhydramine) to help control the itch.

Have it evaluated.: There are many things that could cause the skin to itch. Several types of inflammatory conditions of the skin, allergic reactions, and sometimes bacterial, viral or fungal infections can cause rashes on the skin. Insect bites can also be the cause of a rash on the skin. Have it evaluated by a professional and get the appropriate treatment.
