How often should you check the strong of your copper iud?

Once a month: It is recommended that women with an iud check for the string once a month. This is because rarely an iud can come out. Most of the time if a women can't feel her iud string it is because the string has pulled up into the uterus. So if the string isn't felt usually an ultrasound is done to check if the iud is in place or not.
