Water, water: Drink lots of water. Breathe steam [easy: make a cup of tea and inhale the steam]. Try salt water nose rinses [spray, bottle like neilmed, or neti pot]. Consider over the counter decongestants. Figure out *why* your nose is stuffy: infection? Allergies? Good luck. Hope you can breathe easily soon.

Stuffy Nose: Infection or recent infection? Do u have little kids that could bring home viruses? Travel or work? Allergies? First start with otc antihistamines although they usually don't work. Salt water washes can be very good. Lastly, ask your primary care doctor to try a nasal spray. Stepwise approach is best to solve the problem.

Depends: It depends on the cause. If it lasts 7-10 days, then it's likely related to a viral infection (i.e. The common cold). However if it is persistent, then it may be related to environmental allergies. Treatment then would include avoidance measures (after determining what you're allergic too), medications (such as nasal sprays), and/or allergy shots.

Neti pots can : Educe nasal congestion. Mix ¼ tsp salt w 1 cup lukewarm water. More salt can also be used. Place solution in neti pot. Tilt head ; pour solution into 1 nostril. Blow nose lightly ; spit out any liquid that drains into throat. Repeat on other side. This can be done in the evening before you go to bed ; again in the morning. You can watch a video online to get the finer details down.
