Cold does not cause: Patella tendinitis refers to inflammation of the tendon connecting the kneecap to the shin bone. Cold weather does not cause but may make the thigh muscles (particularly the quadriceps ) feel tight. This will aggravate the already inflamed tendon. Stretching exercises targeting the quads should be part of the treatment plan for patella tendinitis. In younger patients think osgood schlatter.
