Call Pediatrician: Call your pediatrician for advice. Make sure there is nothing else wrong with your child other than teething pain. Try a chilled but not frozen teething ring. Do not use topical anesthetics such as orajel! you can also check with your local pediodontist (children's dentist).

Try this: Try using a wet soft cotton around your finger and messaging the gums. The stimulation of this tissue feels good to the baby. A child size soft toothbrush is used to message around the teeth in circles. And never put the baby to bed with a milk bottle - this is the biggest cause of rotting out the baby teeth and causing a lot of pain that will need a children's dentist to treat.

Baby ambesol: If you use a baby toothbrush with baby ambesol on it, your baby will place it and chew on it right where it's needed. Also a wet frozen washcloth that they can bite helps.
