Testing: Ulcerative colitis is a form of inflammatory bowel syndrome. Ulcerative colitis and crohn's disease make up this autoimmune inflammatory bowel disease. Ulcerative colitis may have other signs and symptoms for you to look for besides bowel issues. See your doctor. He/she will ask about other family members with ibd. A colonoscopy may be required. Also consider celiac disease. A test exists.
