Orange juice should be fine with mono. Sometimes acidic drink might irritate your throat when you're sick, especially if the illness makes your throat scratchy, and stripped away the natural mucus of the throat lining. If it hurts, stop. Hydration in general is important in mono. Avoid any contact sports for a while, your spleen may be enlarged.
