Biotin: I promise you biotin does nothing specific for hair growth. It's just that a genetic disease called "biotinidase deficiency" can cause baldness, so people assumed extra biotin might make hair grow--but biology does not work that way! extra biotin gets peed out immediately, so it cannot harm the liver or kidneys.
