Yes: It is possible that you have bleeding from a blood vessel and have developed a hematoma. Also the steroid over time can cause skin to breakdown. The steroid can also cause an infection. If you are worried followup with the doc that did the injection. We would rather hear from you if there is a problem with the injection than not.

Usually not: If that happens then you may have a bleeding problem.
