A member asked:

Can my epilepsy or medicine intere with my abiliity to conceive?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually not: Patients with epilepsy may have a higher incidence of infertility, decreased libido. There are many factors that may include epilepsy itself as well as medications . This applies both to men and women. The majority of women with epilepsy have absolutely no problem conceiving. We recommend Folic Acid prior to conceiving to reduce risk of fetal malformations. Please see your neurologist.
