Chronic cough: Cough and wheezing are symptoms of asthma. These symptoms can follow influenza or other chest infection. Other less common conditions can also cause these respiratory symptoms. A lung specialist (allergist or pulmonologist) can review the symptoms, take a chest x-ray, sputum sample, lung function test and possibly other lab tests to accurately diagnose your problem and treat correctly.
