Can hsv1 test results be wrong if i had a cold and a fever when did it?

Likely no: Tests generally measure blood response to specific antibodies. The likelihood that a cold/fever would "confuse" the antibodies is pretty slim. However, false positive/false negative test results can happen at any time. If unsure, or dissatisfied with the results, repeat the test with a new sample.
