I've been diagnosed with post traumatic stress from a carwreck, how can i win against this mental disorder?

Treatment: Get treatment from a mental health professional with trauma experience. A number of varieties of expressive psychotherapy can be helpful. Medications may be useful, including ssri drugs and prazosin. Avoid benzodiazepine tranquilizers, since they are associated with poorer prognosis. Good luck!

PTSD can be a : Nasty disorder and quite a worthy opponent. Cognitive processing therapy, emdr, psychoeducation & psychotherapy can be very helpful. The previous recommendation for prazosin & ssri's is good. Some patients do well with the simple combination of melatonin & buspar (buspirone). The important thing is that you get help. The longer one goes without help the more hardwired in the ptsd sxs become.
