What does it mean when you are told you have unspecified imflammatory bowel disorder?

Crohns vs UC: When an endoscopist discovers colitis in a patient but cannot be sure whether it is crohn's colitis or ulcerative colitis, that is when it is call indeterminate colitis or "unspecified inflammatory bowel disease". You end up treating the patient for the type of colitis it most likely seems to be based on clinical and endoscopic findings.
