Could be hives: Hives (or urticaria) is one of the most movable rashes in the body and itches like crazy. It is often caused by allergy to something, and sadly sometimes that cause is never found. Drugs in the antihistamine class such as Benadryl (diphenhydramine) can be the most immediately effective. If this does not help, it would be worth seeing a doctor as more powerful meds can be prescribed.

Maybe hives: There are several types of urticaria. Sometimes a reaction to Aspirin or another med. Sometimes allergy. Benadryl (diphenhydramine) is a sleeping pill, not a good antihistamine, and dangerous to take except at bedtime. See a dermatologist. Meanwhile try zyrtec or claratin (get the generic). Maybe something else: get a diagnosis.
