Podiatrist: I would recommend an evaluation by a podiatrist. There are plenty in the philadelphia area. There is even a podiatric school in philadelphia where you could be evaluated by both students and some of the leading podiatric physicians in the country.

Orthopedic surgeon: There are many orthopedic surgeons(M.D.) who specialize in foot and ankle problems . They have received 5 years of orthopedic training including foot and ankle surgery in addition to fellowship training in foot and ankle diagnosis and treatment. Go to aofas.Org to find doctors in your area. There are many excellent podiatrist as well.
