Melanoma: Recurrence of the same melanoma, is less likely after nine years compared to you developing a new one. Please be seeing your dermatologist to discuss.

Variable: There are several things that help estimate: - how deep was the melanoma - did you have spread to lymph nodes or other organs? If you are already 9 years out, chances are in your favor that it will not recur. But, melanoma can e very sneaky, so keep getting regular skin exams with your doctor.

Varies: At this point you are probably more at risk for developing a new melanoma than the original coming back. Remember to wear sunblock and limit your exposure to uv radiation and continue to see your friendly dermatologist for routine skin examinations.
