Antibiotics: The antibiotics should be prescribed based on the underlying infection and presence of a culture sensitivity report. Certain antibiotics can affect Coumadin (warfarin) level more then others such as macrolides, sulfa drugs etc and pharmacovigilance is warranted in elderly CHF patients.
