Depends: There are rare conditions where kids develop coronary issues like an adult (progeria, kawasaki disease).Most kid heart issues relate to defects in the way their heart was formed, and those issues can be quite substantial. Kids are also more susceptible to rheumatic heart disease, which can occur after untreated strep throat.
