See Eye MD: To fix it, you must first why you have it. An ophthalmologist (eye md) can help you with this.

Possible causes: The skin around the eyelid is very thin and prone to swelling and fluid retention. It could be swelling from inflammation (e.g., allergy eye, contact lens overwear), or simply an accumulation of fluid while you are horizontal (asleep). Do you eat a lot of salt in your diet? Do you sleep on the left side of your head? Once you are vertical, this latter type of swelling tends to go down.
