I have pain in my nasal passage leading down into my throat after using saline solution. what should i do to alleviate this pain?

Time: Saline solution is inert, and should not cause long term problems. (there are only rare cases of infection from contaminated water) sometimes too much or too little salt in the water will be more painful during rinsing. This should resolve with time. If it does not go away in a couple of hours, check with your ENT doctor, especially if symptoms worsen.
