See an allergist: The symptoms you describe sound like allergies (except for the rapid heart beat). An allergist can teat you to determine what specific allergy you have. Additionally, you should have your primary care doctor evaluate your racing heart. In fact, this should be dealt with before the allergies are checked.

See your doctor: Itchy eyes are a symptom of allergy, and if there are a lot of secretions, this can lead to temporary blurring of vision. But neither light sensitivity nor rapid heart beat are symptoms of an allergic reaction (rapid heart beat only with a severe, life-threatening reaction). You need to see your doctor to get all these symptoms sorted out.

A 25-year-old member asked:

What does nitroglycerin do during a heart attack?

Reduce pain: There is actually some debate about the use of nitroglycerine in the setting of all heart attacks. It is known that nitroglycerine dilates the veins and to a lesser extent the arteries and sort of "unloads" the heart. As such it will make it easier for the heart to pump under the stressful circumstances of a heart attack. However, when the blood pressure is low, it is not a good idea.

Need eval: If symptoms are on one side with weight loss - need immediate evaluation to rule out growth either i'n lungs or neck area. Better to make sure this is not cancerous.

ET dysfunction: Usually the combination of these symptoms is due to inflammation in the sinuses. Because the ears connect to the nasal passages (via the eustachian tubes) and the eyes connect to the nose (via the tear ducts), an infection or inflammation of the sinuses can cause all of these. Try saline nose spray/rinse, benadryl, (diphenhydramine) etc but if not improving, see a doctor.

Went to doctor with sinus infection and got amoxicillin. Did not help in still have bad headache in bridge of nose and behind my eyes. Any advice?

Try again: Once doesn't always do it for sinusitis. May have a resistant organism and thus need a different antibiotic. May have problems with structure of nose and face and may need other treatment such as surgery. You may not even have a sinus infection? Get re-examined by pcp or by ent.

Fungal infection: Chronic sinus infection is usually due to mold - try antifungal cream and neosporin oint to nostrils twice daily and orally supplement garlic which kills infections - it will take 4-6 weeks to clear fungal infection. Once healthy take iodine daily will prevent infections.
