Symptoms <60 or >100: Normal blood sugar is hard to define since blood glucose levels vary over a large range under the influence of many factors. Fasting blood glucose is normally less than 110. Numbers less than 60 with symptoms of low blood sugar are abnormal. 110-125 indicates impaired regulation of blood glucose and values greater than 126 on more than one occasion indicate diabetes.
