my pain started in my right groin now hurts my whole leg knee hurts bad, dr. said it was my hip.

It does sound : Like classic hip pain. Have you had an x-ray to id the problem? Arthritis? Fracture? The good news is that hip replacement, if indicated, can bring dramatic pain relief-even including post-op pain. (just be sure to do your physical therapy 'religiously') but start with some tylenol (acetaminophen) or Ibuprofen & talk to your doc to see what she/he thinks should be done to get you feeling better.
